Gagar 0
Miss Stout ran Coventry Rd School for many years but can anyone please remind me of the teachers. Miss Briggs was one, I think she was in charge of infants and juniors and I thought a Miss Seabourne was also there but cannot find any trace of her in any record so I could be wrong. Any name might help.
MargieH 7,599
Welcome to Nottstalgia, Gagar. I see you live in a lovely part of the country. My older brother lives in Malvern, too. Sorry, I know nothing about the school you mention but possibly someone on here will do
philmayfield 6,115
Ah Malvern. The home of my favourite car. I’ve been round the Morgan factory a few times, stayed at the Abbey Hotel and flown a kite from the top of the Malvern hills from where, allegedly, you can see Bulwell on a clear day!
MargieH 7,599
I think you'd need more than a pretty good telescope to see the 126 km from the top of the Beacon (height 425m) to Bulwell ground level... (just checked on a horizon distance calculator).
philmayfield 6,115
So the Old Sage of Malvern, who was standing right next to me, pointing out the sights was telling me a lie? Another illusion shattered.
Waddo 921
The only way you would see bulwell from the malvern hill's is by Google earth!
