His 2 practices in the '50s & '60s were on Wigman Road in Bilborough & Woodborough Road in St Anns, after the demolition of St Anns he moved to a new place near Robin Hood Chase on St Anns Well Road.

He sold his first practice premises on Wigman Road & it became a ladies hairdresser.

Dr Want was in practice with Dr Maurice Everton, both fine doctors,

Dr Want had an uncanny resemblance to the well known actor Herbert Lom.

Doctors Want and Everton were my Doctors, too, as a child.  Much preferred Dr Everton - Doctor Want seemed old fashioned and distant.  Wasn't he Mayor, too?

I was in the same year as Nigel at Glade Hill and I think they lived on Mosswood Crescent but could be wrong about that.
