Hi guys just found one of my old cues.
It says Elstons of Nottingham Goldsmith street, I found it outside a woodwork yard 30+ years ago, it had an old woven tip no Ferrell and was stamped 17oz, sadly I played a lot of pool at the time and a friend of mine made cues, he did try to convince me to leave it as it was but being young and naive I chose to ignore him, I had it tapered down to 8mm and a new Ferrell put on it, anybody have any ideas how old it could be, hope this makes sense tia

From the 'net.

Elston took over the business of Jon Gent around 1925 and amalgamated with J S Hopkin to become Elston and Hopkin in 1938. So anything marked "Elston's" is likely to have been made between these dates.
