DAVIDW 1,681
Bit of a mystery because of a wrong transcription on the 1891 Census ! After a quick (but stressful ) look Edwin Mee was born 1875 (Berties father) and Isaiah Mee born 1881 . They both had Merrin as mothers maiden name and were born in Belper registration district . (1901 Edwin gives birthplace of Leabrooks) . This was Isaiah on the 1891 Census , difficult to find as he been transcribed as Josiah ! Edwin must have been elsewhere as he doesn't appear with his family . He does appear with them in 1881 when they were living Leabrooks Bridle Lane, Alfreton 1891 Census Portland Street, Arnold, Thomas Mee Head Married Male 45 1846 Coal Miner Aslockton, Nottinghamshire, Ann Mee (nee Merrin) Wife Married Female 40 1851 - Syerston, Nottinghamshire, John Henry Mee Son Single Male 20 1871 Coal Miner Somercotes, Derbyshire, Joshua Mee Son - Male 12 1879 - Somercotes, Derbyshire, William Mee Son - Male 11 1880 - Somercotes, Derbyshire, ISAIAH Mee Son - Male 9 1882 - Somercotes, Derbyshire, Florrie Mee Daughter - Female 7 1884 - Somercotes, Derbyshire, Elizabeth Mee Dau - Female 5 1886 - Newstead, Nottinghamshire, Mabel Mee Daughter - Female 4 1887 - Newstead, Nottinghamshire, Ada Mee Daughter - Female 1 1890 - Arnold, Nottinghamshire, 2
