Cliff Ton 10,465
Why was it that until fairly recent times, Castle Boulevard had a disproportionate number of petrol stations and car dealers ?
FLY2 10,108
I always wondered that. Also more recently, tyre and exhaust centres.
sue B 48 1,226
I bet they had to wait a long time to get the picture of the bikes on that cycle lane. 1
Beekay 5,143
Should imagine most bikes use the pavement Sue.

It was a time-lapse photo. One reason you don't see many cyclists on the Boulevard is because many of them are still bombing along the canal path, where they think everyone should get out of their way. 2

Stuart.C 491
When Diamond Cable were awarded the Cable network Franchise for Nottingham, they took over the Rediffusion cable network and aquired any liabilities such as maintaining the overhead cables which were in a poor state. Diamond became N.T.L, who then became Virgin Media. I don't beleive Diamond used any of the old Rediffusion underground ducting as it didn't meet their design standards.
