Did anyone go. Can you remember the free tickets, that were given away?

What about the local groups that played here on a Friday Night. One of which was Sons & Lovers? :P

I also went to the sherwood rooms, is that still there in it's original set up? I forgot to have a look when I was last over on holidays.

In the early 70's, I was the DJ there, tried to upmarket the clientels

taste in music.

Can you remember a Record I used to play, and I called it

"Feel your knees in Me!"

Everyone asked for it by that name after that.

What was the real name of the song, Who was it by, and what record was

always played side by side with it?

Thats a hard one unless you know B)

I first went to the slipper in 1969 and then spent every Monday Wednesday and Friday in there Bill on the door or Laurence in the cloak room used to hand out the free entry tickets mainly on a Friday night for entry on the Monday or Wednesday just so that they had customers free tickets were hard to come by for Friday as it was always packed, I don't remember paying to get in any night as Laurence was a neighbour and family friend, I met my wife in the slipper she was going out with my mate but was using him to get close to me clever move this year we celebrate 40 years of married life. I also went to the Boat club Trent bridge on Saturday night and the union club Trent bridge on Sunday night. My wages back then was £5 5s 10p I paid 10s 8p in national insurance and took home £4 15s 2p my mother took £3 off me every week for my board it left me with £1 15s 2p and with that I was out clubbing it and drinking 5 nights a week wish I could do it today

Welcome Picko

Can you remember an older guy who was always dancing on his own?

I would play Joyce Bond, The Teasy, the floor would clear as people watched him dance, clapping in time.
