nonnaB 4,895
Very interesting. We lived in R.O.T for about 20 yrs. My husband was Restaurant Manager at the Chestnuts, lovely to see familiar buildings again. Whose bike was it ? A certain members?
Cliff Ton 10,466
The bike in many of those photos was that of the photographer Reg Baker. It was his trademark and appears in almost every photo he took.

letsavagoo 963
I look after the photographic archive for our local village history society and often come across Reg’s pictures, alway recognisable by his bike somewhere in shot.
nonnaB 4,895
Was listening to Radio Nottingham ( curtesy " Alexa") yesterday and heard R.O.T. was flooded and some roads were closed. How's the situation now ? Hope nobody's home was involved.
philmayfield 6,134
Most of the R.O.T flooding was on the bypass and a bit down Nottingham Rd. I don’t think any houses were affected. The worst round here was in Lowdham where 60 houses flooded when the Cocker Beck overflowed. Sadly most of the houses had been built on the flood plane and had been flooded previously. Planners don’t seem to have a clue.
