bamber 128
French Connection's branch on Victoria Street has now shut-up-shop for ever. Walking past it the other day I got to thinking about a small, city council art gallery that used to be at the bottom of Victoria Street? Does anyone else recall it? This would be early 1970s. TBI 2,351
Yes, I remember the Art Gallery, Bamber. I think it was pretty much where the French Connection shop you mentioned was. Not the actual FC unit though, I think that was a bank, maybe next door. Edit - just looked on old maps, next to the bank at number 12. Looks like it was there for some time. Jill Sparrow 10,269
The art gallery on Victoria Street was next to what were the Midland Bank premises. I remember going into the art gallery when I was a child. It was there much earlier than the 70s.
