Stavertongirl 1,713
I see there have been 2 NHS staff who have had an allergic reaction to the vaccine. Bet the anti-vaxxers will jump on that.
Stavertongirl 1,713
Oh dear what a pity looks like London might have to go into tier 3. Seems to be a bit of a panic about it (didn’t notice that when most of the north was in it) and one of the solutions suggested is mass testing of school children!! Strange that as I thought we had been told a)they don’t really get it b) they only get it mildly c) the chance of them passing it on is negligible d) teachers are more likely to pass it on when socialising on their coffee breaks But then perhaps I have misunderstood what has been spouted over the last few months by various experts including my favourite Jenny whatshername, whatever happened to her? nonnaB 4,893
We are now in yellow zone . Bars and restaurants are open til 6 pm. Lets see what the next few weeks bring. Our count went sky high then went down fairly quickly , it levelled out now slowly its regaining strength. Does any government really have any idea of what to do. In Italy almost everyone was in favour of total lockdown again and i understand the economy has to rise but lockdown to certain businesses doesnt make sense. Small villages are considered in exactly the same situation as big cities such as Milan, Turin and Rome. I dont think they have realised that there are fewer people in villages and dont mix in the same quantities as they do in cities. But lets wait to see what happens. philmayfield 6,089
People in our village are very respectful of social distancing. I’ve noticed that when they see me they cross to the other side of the road.

philmayfield 6,089
Viruses mutate all the time. It’s part of the life cycle of a virus. It’s no big deal. It could mutate into something less lethal and it won’t necessarily be unresponsive to the current vaccines.
philmayfield 6,089
The government don’t seem keen to relax the Christmas virus moratorium. They’re just passing the onus onto the public to take extra care. I presume this is so that they can put the blame onto the people for the increase in outbreaks in January and say ‘We told you so‘. nonnaB 4,893
After being in yellow zone for a few days it seems that everyone's expenses will go in the bin if they decide to close us down in Red zone Christmas Eve. What a mess everywhere. We'll never get rid of this damn virus. Hope everyone thinks twice about not having the vaccine. It's the only way we will get it under control. People are afraid because of odd reactions. Today vaccines are closely examined and it's no longer the days of thalidomide.
MargieH 7,594
An (unlikely) odd reaction to the vaccination is, in opinion, probably better than getting a full blown dose of Covid!!!
