DaveN 1,114
Some of the fares on NCT buses are to change from March 29h 2020 https://www.nctx.co.uk/farechange
philmayfield 4,341
I guess most of the people on this site will have a free ‘bus pass. Sadly I don’t but neither do we have any buses out here!
Beekay 2,879
Not used an NCT bus since I left their employment back in 1967. Gone are the days when it were 6d from Bilborough depot to city on no.16 and the same from Bracebridge drive. Heaven knows how to work it out nowadays. No idea what number goes where. Just hope Sussex bus pass would work, provided I knew where I were going!
MargieH 6,657
When we come to Nottingham, our Cambs bus passes don't always work on the buses...the drivers don't seem surprised or bothered - they just let us get on the bus anyway. They have worked on some of the buses we've used, though.
catfan 14,499
Same here with my oap pass Margie. A bit hit & miss.
MargieH 6,657
Catfan, So it isn't just that our bus passes are from Cambs, then? I thought that this was the reason they didn't work properly in Nottingham
Beekay 2,879
Might be they just don't like tourists Margie. Their way of telling you to clear off !! Just saying.

I've used mine from the IOW in the south to Cumbria in the north. A lot of the ticket readers suffer software issues. Nowt wrong with yer pass.
Beekay 2,879
You mention the I O W, CFan , last time we on there, the driver of the little Noddy train said we could use our passes on there as well. That was in Yarmouth. Behind a mini tractor in open carts would you believe!

Beekay 2,879
Once rode on said Island railway, on round trip from Shanklin to Ryde and back. Banged me 'ed twice. Enjoyed it though, also the steam heritage at Haven street.
