Mary and her quiz set me thinking.

Threatened to do this awhile back and never got around to it. The pictures are all clocks in and around Nottingham, you've all seen them - but where are they?

Two easy ones to start...

Thanks Mary1947, enjoyed the quiz, got about 14 correct, would have been about 9 prior to joining this site however.

Wasn't Tommy Lawton renowned for his heading ability? certainly gave me a headache, that one!;)

Just seen Made in India  do they mean the 45 record or was it Robin Hood ?

I didn't spot that Mary.  All I can add is that India and various 'colonies' continued to manufacture 78s after UK and US went all 45 ish..

The first is on the building next to what was the Odeon cinema Angel Row. Now occupied by a company called Cash Generators.

That chip shop off Vernon Road & Vicky Centre clock, forgot it’s name? that mechanical one.

Yesterday under that Zara/Boots clock was a young girl with all her belongings living in the doorway Mrs Red thought she had a baby with her, sad to see, still bothering me, can’t even look after our own.

@radfordred Are there good support centres/churches/hostels in Nottingham who will help  homeless people?   I hope so for the sake of the young girl you saw yesterday..

You're spot on again RR

Re; the girl in the doorway I hope she goes to the council, I'm told Nottingham CC now has enough accommodation for all itinerants.

Clocks again, sorry they are so small.
