Compo 10,326
Was it always called Derrymount, Stuart?
Stuart.C 483
No, I don't believe so. Derymount Lower is over a mile away in Redhill. I've been driving up Sherbrook rd and off for over 30yrs, I'm sure the school was boarded up for a while. On Google maps in 2012 it was Daybrook Learning Centre. From here, it was Daybrook Learning Centre from 2010, then closed 2014 then reopened as Derrymount, https://get-information-schools.service.gov.uk/Establishments/Establishment/Details/136235 Looks like it was originally; St Albans Infant and Nursery, closed 2003. https://get-information-schools.service.gov.uk/Establishments/Establishment/Details/122514 It looks like there's been a few amalgamations / closures in Bestwood /Daybrook Infant Junior schools over the years
Compo 10,326
Stuart, St Alban's is the name I was looking for. Many thanks, you've jogged my memory. My father worked there as caretaker in the '70s and '80s but I couldn't recall the name when asked by my aged uncle.
