steven_wynn_uk 7
Hi All, Long time, no login. Hope you are all well! I've got into the black art of clay pigeon shooting. Wondering if anyone else here is who could 'lend a hand'?
Brew 5,378
I have a couple of guns and shoot, only clays though. Once shot a rabbit and fifty years later still feel guilty. Style Hollow was my ground if choice years ago and was a member for quite some time. Now just go to different grounds as the fancy takes me. One that's on my list when I get back into it is Lowes Lanes, never been, the same as Orston quite fancy a couple of rounds there. Covid of course means it's been over a year since the guns came out their slips.
LizzieM 9,497
We did a bit of clay pigeon shooting when we were country folk! Our kid’s got the gun cabinet now but no idea if he’s still got the guns in it, probably sold them, knowing him.

Trying to decide between cocketts farm and notts district. choices choces
Brew 5,378
Notts district is busier and has a decent cafe, also easier to get to. Cockets you're usually escorted by the owner (depending what day you go) who operates the traps, small but attractive ground. Both used to be open every day.
Charlbury 7
Of course a lot of the clays are made near here at the Clay Pigeon Company in Bottesford.
Brew 5,378
There used to be a company in the industrial site near the railway crossing at Bingham... same firm?
