jeremy agnew 0
Hello - I'm trying to find more details of a concert that the Bilborough Grammar School Choir took part in. It was by the British jazz composer, Michael Garrick and the concert took place in St. Mary's Church, Nottingham on December 18 1970. Two main works were played - Jazz Praises and Jazz Cantata. I wonder if anybody took part in this concert or has any memories of the event? The Jazz in Britain organisation has acquired a tape of this concert which is in good condition. We are unclear whether the tape is a live recording or a radio broadcast? Any help would be much appreciated. The choir was conducted by Peter Mound. annswabey 599
I was at BGS from 1968 and belonged to the choir, but probably after 1970, as all I remember is Faure's Requiem and the Messiah. Colin Jones was my music teacher 67/69 and 71/
