Excellent program from an excellent couple Rob, old school humour, old fashioned banter where no one takes offence good all round entertainment with that human/caring touch

I've always thought fishing is on a par with watching grass grow..........but I really like the Mortimer/Whitehouse programme.

 

Their discussion of medical problems is an interesting sideline......especially when I realised they are both several years younger than me.

A schoolfriend of our son has been on fishing trips with Paul Whitehouse several times, their fathers were close friends, (maybe still are, if they’re alive).   This was in the days that Whitehouse was mostly on TV with Harry Enfield.  I love Mortimer and Whitehouse, they come across as real genuine decent blokes and the programme is so funny.

Do you remember a comedy sketch show called Smith & Jones , Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith  ?

I used to look after a racehorse owned by Mel Smith whilst I worked for Toby Balding , my nearest claim to fame !
