MRS B 519
Particularly a note to nonna, apparently there is going to be a shortage of olive oil due to the really high temperatures across Europe. How are your olives doing in Italy?
philmayfield 6,125
That's strange because all of our fruit trees have the heaviest crops I've ever seen. That's apples, plums, damson, medlar, quince, pears and a fig. Many branches are hanging down to the ground with the weight of fruit. A large branch has snapped on the damson. We do have a small olive but that's never cropped.

MargieH 7,600
Clever Franglais phrase …. But I don’t think it’s baloney
Jill Sparrow 10,305
Same here, Phil. I'm going to have to shore up some branches or there will be breakages.
philmayfield 6,125
I’m leaving them. It makes them easier to pick!
