Cinema on Radcliffe Road West Bridgford

Recommended Posts

Did there used to be a cinema on Radcliffe Road WB as you go up towards Trent Bridge on the left hand side? The current noise of the rain (golly we need it!) reminded me of going to watch something there and hearing torrential rain as we were watching the movie and then coming out afterwards and it was absolutely flooded. Would be around the late 60’s, early 70’s.

Cliff Ton you’re right with the road. I obviously have the cinema location wrong. The only cinema ever to be in WB apparently was the Tudor on the corner of Central Ave and Rectory Road and it was demolished in 1959. Hence Tudor Square being named after it. Apparently it was the first cinema in the Nottingham area to show “talkies”.
