plantfit 7,582
There is very little reference to the schools on the Clifton estates, I know of four secondary schools and there was quite a lot of primary and infants schools, is there a reason for this or was you unimpressed with your time spent there, I know I was but I'm just one person Rog
Jill Sparrow 10,305
Two of my teachers from Berridge moved on to teach at Whitegate Primary in Clifton. They had both trained at Clifton Teacher Training College and Berridge was their first teaching post. In those days, most young teachers couldn't afford cars and as these two lived in West Bridgford, Clifton was easier to access than Berridge. One ended his career as head of Claremont Junior in Carrington and the other returned to Berridge as deputy and then acting head.
Cliff Ton 10,464
There are several old threads referring to specific schools on Clifton, but it also means there are several other Clifton schools which don't get a mention at all.
