ValuerJim 277
Can't remember the last record I bought. Do people still buy records?
DJ360 6,712
Yes, I do. I'm currently subscribed to the De Agostini 'Jazz Classics on Vinyl' series of LPs. Very good quality repressings of classi stuff. I also buy new vinyl from other sources and s/h vinyl from charity shops etc. I'm just in the process of getting a new tonearm built for my record player, by a specialist in Kent. FLY2 10,108
Crikey, your formative years in a nut shell. Some goodies, some mediocre, some.... Well not so mediocre. I remember about the same age being asked by an aunt what record could she buy for my birthday. Eagerly, I answered ' Any Rock & Roll' . I anticipated getting Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Little Richard. What did I receive..... Little White Bull by Tommy Steele FFS. I never liked the toothy tw4t at the best of times.

Cliff Ton 10,435
I've mentioned the first singles I bought, but the first LP was The Moody Blues - Threshold of a Dream in 1969. Got it from the record dept in Boots, Pelham Street.
