thought it was just me and the Queen that drank Earl Grey. Welcome to the exclusive club Jonab!

Hate to disillusion you but I know several people who drink Earl Grey. One is a former colleague...and she's a communist!

Some folks only request information, which is fair enough by me. Maybe they don't want discussion, chat, banter etc. Different people want different things from a forum, and that's fine.  If

I can see Compo's photo and that's a first. I also drink Earl Grey.

What are you using to look at it ?  I can't see the photo on my iMac or on my phone.

Is Compo giving you preferential treatment ?

Well I don't know what that makes me then, I drink coffee and always black with a quarter of a teaspoon of sugar. Perhaps I should hide away in a corner. Where is Ben to help me out.

You are not alone, young Trogg. I too drink black coffee with sugar. Never drink tea.

Whilst we're talking coffee my favourite used to be Monsooned Malabar beans from Waitrose. It had a natural sweetness and required no sugar. Sadly it appears to have deteriorated in quality and I'm now using ground coffee in bags from Taylor's of Harrogate. I miss the morning grinding ritual but it does taste good without the hassle of preparation.

I have checked my laptop, tablet and phone. Can't see Compo's photo on all 3.

Checked my pc and cannot see Compos typhoo ad., but can see it on my little Samsung A8 tablet. Just checked on my Acer 10in tablet but nowt on that. Odd that ? I wonder if it's because Acer is running Android 5.1 and Samsung is latest Android 9.0.

I tried the Taylors coffee bags from Morrisons soon went back to Nesspresso.

I've got a fancy machine which cost a fortune (I like gadgets) which ground the coffee and swept the floor but it sits with all the other things that seemed like a good idea at the time. I can't even give it away. I'm back to the simple life now!

Coffee beans from Regent House in Matlock were my favourite. At Christmas, they offered beans soaked in Irish whiskey, Amaretto, brandy, etc. Wonderful smell. Regent House was a very genteel place. Victorian in construction, still with its original fittings and Lincrusta clad walls. Sadly, no more. I miss it.
