Yes remember them all, just forget the names, ones I do recall were Jackie Pallo, Jumping Jim Hussey Billy Two Rivers the Royals, Farmer Johnny Allen julian morice? plus the headbutt man (some black african) and later Haystacks, Shirley Crabtree, Fit Finley, the deaf and dumb guy? mighty flynn etc, the last few at vic baths when I took my son, looking back recall the falseness of it all (which I knew in the 60's) the thick blind ref, plus the good guys getting beat up then coming good, and kent walton saying he didn't know it was fixed!!!

And of course, Kent Walton's real day job was as a script writer for soft-porn films.

prompted by Cliff Ton had a think, the deaf one was Alan Kilby or kirkby? the headbutt man was Johnny Kwango,seem to remember a "Gaylord St.Claire" or something like that who acted all effem then there was another somebody Kidd who would roll himself into a ball , got a bit boring after 5 minutes or so! lol BUT does anyone recall "The Python" not a real wrestler (or maybe he was?) but featured in a film with a young Diana Dors?

I didn't know this.....but by digging around I discovered it's a film called "A kid for two farthings" and the guy was Primo Carnera who was a real boxer, and played a character called Python Macklin

was known as The Ambling Alp as I recall, can't recall Sid James in that film mind you I was young when I saw it at The Futurist, do remember David Kossoff though, and the story was centred around london,s jews

Masambula the likeable man in leopard skin trunks died in a bout. He broke his back on a bad posting, when the padding was incorrectly fastened and was then given a body slam. He died shortly afterwards. A tragic accident.
