Guest Anne
Wow again...I think this site in time will become as big if not bigger than Friends Reunited. I believe they began in one small room!! Am I right?
Stan 386
Correct, - a spare bedroom in Barnet(N. London) ITV bought the site for squillions,a bad financial error as it is well past its prime ,especially with `Facebook' moving in.
Guest Anne
I had no idea it was ITV who had bought Friends Reunited...I just knew somebody had. Re 'Facebook' who on earth is that!

Guest Anne
Thanks Stan it seems they are turning towards an even bigger and younger generation now then eh! Perhaps these "bright young things" have lots of money..not like us when we were that age. I don't begrudge it em though..I say good for you! Maybe Facebook is after it though!! Guest Anne
I have a friend who tells me about her new vaccum cleaner..it goes.. "I don't have the model called "scruba" that washes floors. I have "discovery" that sweeps bare floors and carpets, no water., I move chairs and other obstacles and shut him up in the bedroom alone. after taking my shower, i cautiously open the door, wondering if I could find him without the remote control. I searched and there he was in his home base, asleep. I wondered if he had done any work, so I opened his dust bin. it was full of dirt and bits of candy wrappers. it would have taken me all morning to do that job. I swear this is a genuine letter... Bip 88
Sux reminds me of David Essex...anybody out there who likes himapart from me?? I do Anne………he played the lead roll in a television program once the name of which eludes me at the moment. Was he a lock keeper in it? Also he did some narration on the War of the Worlds record, which the main voice was done by Richard Burton. Did David play the artilleryman in it? Bip. B)
Beefsteak 305
David Essex started his career on the west end stage in Godspell (Early 70s) the series you are thinking of BIP was called "The river " and you are right Bip he played the lock keeper
