I'm trying to figure this picture.

Is this the north side of Parliament street looking west.

or the south side looking east?

Interesting sign that, 'Lipmans, Derby Road' What was that?

on the original photo the Liptons advertisment is obscured bythe fellow in front but I think I can decipher "MATERNAL WARE" so posibly an early mothercare? and the other poster I can't read without a magnifying glass (old age)and I don't possess such a thing.(Vanity)LOL

its a bit clearer on my original but this is a photo of the page in the book

I might have found another way of scanning the image in though i will give it a go and down load that if I can
