bamber 128
A little known piece of trivia about Spaghetti Junction aka The Gravelly Hill Interchange. The road layout was specially designed so that if Britain did switch to driving on the right then there would be no problems - just switch the signs around.

I know another bit of trivia. The hand rails and their mounting brakets were made by two different companies and one worked in metric and one in imperial so after the first one was connected the rest didn't match up,to get round the problem the forman of that gang of labourers got them to glue them on to each other, so that they didn't fall behind schedual and lose produtivity bonuses(This was only descovered in some routine maintenance in the 80s and put right)
mick2me 3,016
Wasnt there a cock up when Clifton Bridge was built? One flyover was too low for Double Decker buses to pass under?
