colly0410 1,181
Remember the name Shirley Winders but not Betty, my memory must be playing tricks as I'd surly know they were twins..
colly0410 1,181
Just had a thought. Did Mr Petchel have something wrong with one of his hands, some fingers missing? If so I do remember him, just forgot the name..
mick2me 3,033
That was him, deformed or missing fingers. Good teacher.
Cloudesley 7
I think it was his left hand, just had the little finger and thumb, he was my geography teacher at Roland Green 75-80, really good guy and a good laugh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Spencer 9
Mr Petchell taught me Geography at Roland Green from 1979-84 - really nice teacher if you were on the right side of him - I always got on really well with him. Regarding his hand, apparently he lost 3 fingers in some kind of explosion that went horribly wrong Some years previous - not sure how true that was? I didn’t realise that he’s taught at Trent Bridge though, are you sure this is the same teacher? I was at Trent Bridge from 1975-79, he obviously wasn’t there then, I had the likes of Mr Dawson, Mr Evans, Mrs Headly, Mr Blunston, Mr Spedding etc Derek Smith was the Headmaster at the time - I got plenty of smacks off him during my 4 years there
