Braddy 160
Love it or hate it, it has a good shopping centre
Michael Booth 7,364
The photos of Bulwell show a busy shopping scene which is good for the local traders. It also seems a clean and tidy place so why is it called 'Scum City'. I can't remember the last time I went to Bulwell, it was so long ago. Also, how do you get away with calling it 'Scum City' it can't be that bad, surely.

It has it's fair share of "Scumbags" like any where else.
Michael Booth 7,364
That is so true, catfan. It's also good to see people protecting their property with weapons and not being charged if the burglar gets injured.

Michael Booth 7,364
poohbear, there have been lots of cases in the Press regarding people injuring burglars and not being charged. There has even been a couple of deaths and no criminal charges were issued.

RGR 218
Bulwell Market, this is the guy who sells school uniforms at a very reasonable price. One thing I notice about the shopping area and market in Bulwell is that it is very clean.Suprisingly didn't see any litter on the streets. Just before I left the UK , brought my mother down to do some shopping from Ravenshead. "No way I'm going to Bulwell" she says. After a little persuasion I got her there. Had a great fish and chip shop meal at Sandersons fish shop. Still the best in town. Had a laugh with the staff, my mother really enjoyed her day shopping. Now my wife is over on family business, I told her to check out Sandersons if she has time. Also had a great meal in Underwood at the old hole in the wall pub, all you can eat carvery for 3 pounds 99.
