Understood, from a mutual friend, that he was a broken man following the Bradford fire - where he was on duty with Lincoln. The seemingly often forgetten tragedy - perhaps partly because of Hillsborough, but nevertheless terrible, disaster had a profound effect upon him that afternoon. Cheers Robt P.
