firbeck 859
Sounds pretty average for them Beefsteak, only kidding. Do you fancy it then, another Aviation Day outing perhaps, anyone interested? I'll be going anyway, even if I have to sit in the field opposite, fantastic photo opportunities there. firbeck 859
A shame, but perhaps you'll be enjoying the delights of Port Isaac crab and lobster instead, any other offers. One reason I've replied, is that a very noisy aircraft out of Stansted has just flown low overhead, I just ran outside to witness an all red Boeing 707, complete with original engines come over, what a sight and sound, not seen one of those for years, sorry, didn't manage to grab the camera in time. firbeck 859
It's all happening down here today. I was out in the garden making some plant boxes about half an hour ago when an overflying Piper Cub suddenly put his nose down and got out the way fast, why, Caroline Grace came sweeping over the garden in her 2 seater Mk IX Spit. Not being prepared for it, I came in the house and got my camera ready and placed next to the door just in case something else happened. Deciding to make a cup off coffee, I heard a noise above the sound of the kettle and unbelievably watched the BBMF Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire come sailing by just behind the trees, I gather that they've just displayed over the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, they really took me by surprise, I wonder what will come by next, I'll try and be prepared.
