1940's Live Music At Our Blitz Ball Notts 3rd June

Recommended Posts

Dear People of wonderful Nottingham,

I am writing with regard to an event we are hosting that people on here may be interested in attending.

We are hosting a ‘1940’s Wartime Blitz Ball’ at Worksop Town Hall on the 3rd June 2005 to mark our British history and the occasion of the forthcoming V.E. Day.

Included in the evening is a live performance by a Professional Swing Vocalist backed by big band sounds including Glenn Miller. Included are also original sound and speech recordings from the war years and a few surprises too.

A traditional wartime style 2 course hot meal is included in the evening.

The Town Hall will be decked out in genuine wartime style with banners and bunting and there will be plenty of space to dance and socialise.

There is oodles of parking for cars and coaches too.

Why not join us in this celebration of British history and step back in time to the 1940’s for one evening. It’s a chance to dress up and jitterbug away from the stresses and strains of modern day life!

Ticket price is £17.50 fully inclusive of live entertainment and wartime style meal. We are offering tickets at the reduced rate of £16.00 each should 10 or more people attend from your place of work. So why not bring your colleague’s and Partner’s and step back into the past for an evening filled with music, traditional style fayre, romance and memories.
