Beefsteak 305
Macclesfield Town Manager Keith Alexander has died after his sides defeat at Meadow Lane last night at the age of just 53. rob237 89
Nottingham born and bred... As a lad he came up to Burntstump, along with several High Pavement pals, for our cricket coaching sessions and later played several games for Pavs II. Liked by all who encountered him... he had the, increasingly rare, 'permanent smile'. Useful rugger player too, but barred from playing matches by his pro-soccer commitments. Seems his death was caused by a recurrence of his earlier aneurysm, which had almost killed him some years earlier. Cheers Robt P.
firbeck 859
Good to see the England team wearing black armbands in respect for him last night.
rob237 89
Yes...I thought so too! A propo the game: With Crouch scoring two, I'm hunting round for my tow rope...I've already located a beam. Cheers Robt P.
