LOVED ROCK CITY DURING THE 80's?

Relive the memories!

"To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are going to be throwing a massive party that will blast through thirty years of ROCK!

Rock City has been up and running as the best live music venue in the UK now since 1980 and since then it really has been blowing peoples socks off in all forms whether it be a club night or a sell out gig!

*******************************

We think this is pretty impressive and want to throw the best event rock city has ever seen in all its thirty years!

So get yourself down and make history books.

Make sure that you can say that you were there when this happened!!"

In the mid 80s we used to go for Rock night on a Friday.Trent Bitter at 50p a pint if I remember rightly and the strange sticky carpets that are still the same today.

I remember being there on a Tuesday night and it was Saxon and Motörhead, it was obvious they didn't see eye to eye. I used to love to see The Macc Lads there, they were funny as fuff.

Rory Gallagher, Defender tour....... Probably the best live gig I've EVER seen.

The Ultimate Performer without a shadow of a doubt.

Probably the best gig I ever attended at Rocky was The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

There was no one out there to match SAHB's mix of rock/blues, vaudeville and showmanship. Great musicians and totally unique.
