PeverilPeril 3,279
Just a heads up for Catfan in case he would like a bus to play with. John Pye have a sale next week and it includes a couple of 1993 Leyland Olympia 77 seaters and a 1950 Dennis Lancet 39 seater. The Lancet would be ideal for you to take the Nottsalgia gang out on a mystery tour

The Pianoman 1,532
If you think Olympians were nippy God knows what other NCT buses were like! On Trent we used to call 'em Limpalongs! I used to like driving them tho'

Deepdene Boy 642
Mick, Trent had Leyland Olympians whilst they were still part of the National Bus Company. Once they were privatised via a MBO, Trent's next double deckers were Volvo Citybuses, with underfloor mid-engines. These were the same chassis that NCT had on their fleet numbers 301-346, and also the experimental pair 398/399. Northampton Transport also had a sizeable fleet of these and they were very well liked by the local drivers.

Near the 3 Horseshoes in I remember those trolley buses parked there with a chock (block of triangular shaped wood) under the front drivers side wheel to stop the bus rolling down the hill. Was the chock on a chain or piece of string? can't quite remember that small detail Rog
