Jill Sparrow 8,547
Much further forward in time. Berridge Juniors, 1979. Teacher is Mr Bradshaw, now apparently deceased. Originally posted by Donna Ellis.
philmayfield 4,352
Just for information, I’m the only person on this site that didn’t go to Berridge.

Jill Sparrow 8,547
I'm delighted to see you both taking an interest in this Nottingham-related school. There's lots more to come!
jonab 1,639
I went to Beardall Street.
philmayfield 4,352
I went to Arno Vale.
trogg 1,448
I went to Henry Whipple, as two others who are on this forum. I wont mention one of them but I think he must have been the only boy in a class of girls and it shaped his future.
Beekay 2,902
I attended Radford Boulevard, but it appears nobody else did.
Cliff Ton 8,986
I didn't go to Berridge, but my grandparents lived nearby and we often visited them, so I knew the area without being aware of the school. It's quite possible I could've passed several Nottstalgia ex-Berridgeans in the street in the first half of the 1960s.
philmayfield 4,352
We’ve almost got enough members for a non-Berridge old boys/girls association!
Stuart.C 270
Another who DIDN'T go to Berridge, although the thread is interesting anyway. I went to ArnoVale, so that looks like 2 3 in the "I went to ArnoVale and not Berridge" section of the non-Berridge old boys/girls association!

PeverilPeril 2,793
Benjamin. in the late 40's and early 50's we had a football pitch on the Nutall Rd annex. We played some matches on the Forest. We never seemed to do very well. Maybe cos I was not selected I played cricket for the school though.

I only ever played football for Berridge at the Nuthall Road ground which was opposite the Whitemore pub or very nearly. I was rubbish at football but excelled in Rugby and Rowing at secondary school. I dont know a 'Greg' from either school or police. I didn't start infants until 1959 so perhaps out of my timeframe.
LizzieM 8,714
And I didn't go to Berridge either, but I read the thread. I went to Kingswell in Arnold.
katyjay 4,564
I didn't go there either but had 2 cousins who lived on Berridge Rd and I assume went there. I look out for them on them photos Bill and Jim Whitlam.
Jill Sparrow 8,547
James, born 1946 or 48...there's some confusion about the year. William, born 1954. We certainly have photos covering their time at Berridge. I hope you can find them katyjay.
katyjay 4,564
James was 1946 same as me. Both men deceased in their 60's.
Jill Sparrow 8,547
He's recorded in 1948 also. Looks like it was a late registration. I'll look out for the surname.

LizzieM 8,714
I wish I’d gone to Berridge ..... you lot seem to have lots of great memories and the Nottm Lost Schoolfriends FB site is full of Berridge photos and memories ....... is it you putting the photos on there Letsavagoo? Jill Sparrow 8,547
The last photo was originally posted by Alan Randall and is believed to date from 1960/1. The name, Miss Gould, has been mentioned for the teacher. Neither Letsavagoo nor myself recall her, although this was before our time. A junior class, taken in the playground fronting Brushfield Street.
