Ashley 288
Noticed a few bird watchers on here, suspect some watching wrong sort of bird! but what's this one?
poohbear 1,360
Sparrow Hawk....could be Kestrel but the flight lends itself to the hedge hopping flight of the Sparrow Hawk. Mind you it looks more like it's having a go on a trampoline.
jackson 301
First thought: Sparrow Hawk.

.... 23
The tail feathers look a bit kite-like.
Compo 10,328
Kites have a pronounced notch shape in the tail feathers and are much larger bods. I reckon as it's a Sparrer'ork mi duk. Why have you glued it to the window by its beak?
Cliff Ton 10,465
It doesn't appear to be moving at all in the photo. I presume it was hovering, but there's no sign of movement in its wings or body. I reckon it is a cardboard cutout suspended from a bedroom window, and the string has been photoshopped away. Ashley 288
by bedroom Cliff Ton I assume you mean room above? not many caravans have those! it's NOT a bird of prey, I couldn't believe how that photo turned out, it's one of many took and will prove not cardboard cutout, on string, stuck to window etc
poohbear 1,360
Then by the look of the breast feathers I'd say Fieldfare...
Compo 10,328
Ashley, I've sent the bird url to a veterinary friend who specialises in bird spotting. I hope he can ID it for you.
Ashley 288
Touch Wood this will prove he's not a cardboard cutout! EDIT No it doesn't! was meant to be a video clip, I think I know what it is by the way compo, Theres 2 of them live in the hedge, guess he can see his reflection in the window as constantly dive bombs it! Compo 10,328
it's a Dunnock buy the looks of it. A hedgerow bird just a bit smaller than a sparrow, thin pointy beak, grey-blue chest, flicks its wings whilst moving . usually found close to the ground and in bushes/hedges.
