Just caught up with this topic, and not much previously mentioned hits me other than Gimme Shelter and Silver Machine.

So how about

Whiskey in the Jar...... Thin Lizzy.

Whole Lotta Love ....... Led Zeppelin.

The Warning...............Black Sabbath.

Smoke on the Water....... Deep Purple.

Shadowplay......... Rory Gallagher.

I Don't Need No Doctor, and Up My Sleeve....... Humble Pie.

That'll do for starters.

For me shivers down the spine on these intros because you know what you are going to hear:

Try a little Tenderness – Otis Redding

Stand by me – Ben E King

for joyfulness and dancing:

I got what it takes - Brooks and Jerry

for nostalgia:

Hey Mr Tambourine Man - The Byrds

for musicality

Like a Rolling Stone - The Band version -from Before the Flood album

Never had a tendency to dance, for me it's the melody and the lyrics. I do occasionally tap my feet and jig a bit though. LOL

I foolishly regarded dancing as a waste of energy that I'd need for lifting pint pots. However, I missed so much fun.

The Warning bi Black Sabbath on their first album where the last remnants of Sleeping Village suddenly break into The Warning.

Got to be played at 11 or above.

The first track on Black Sabbath's 1st album aptly titled Black Sabbath has a nice intro too
I do like the bells :)
This track & the track above like most Sabbath stuff should be played as loud as you can play them
