John Tyers 1
Nearly six years on from the last posting I can add that the village shop at the north end of the village opposite the Dorothy Boot Homes was run by my Gran for a few years (late fifties) who lived at 105 Maim road which was next to the Trent behind the shop. I remember my Grandad rigging up a pull cable from the kitchen at the rear of the shop to the house which rang a bell to signal for help when needed.
