This new Forest gezza Evangelos Marinakis he sounds a right bogger match fixing, gang leader, bribery, blackmailer & bombing a referees bakery! Can't see us getting many red cards this coming se

Changing the names of football teams and stadiums is like messing with the Regiments in the British Army. You take away the tradition, moral and sense of identity that has been built up over many year

Went to Donny last night. My first away trip for over 15 years. Plenty of families with kids nowadays, but still the same old songs being belted out. I soon got back into the swing of things!

For what it is worth and I have not followed soccer for some years. the Oracle is saying that the new Reds coach could be Neil Warnock (ex QPR) or even Rodion Gačanin – Head Coach or Abdulaziz Hamad– Assistant Coach from the Al Qaidisya Soccer Club.

As a side issue, serious discussions over here of putting prayer rooms in the sports stadiums for the faithful to use during matches.

I am on a course this week believe it or not at Pr!de Park Stadium.

A very impressive place inside the executive area. No sign of any Arabs there at the moment.

However the walls of the corridors are chock a block with fantastic photo's of Brian Clough.

and 50s and 60s football scenes, even as a non fan I am impressed.

Yesterday I got lost finding the venue but was directed by 2 guys in D*rby kit, I assume players?

I would now like to visit Forest and Notts to see if its the same?

McCarthy apparently turns Forest down. I'm hearing a few warning signs here,

'McCarthy had sought reassurances that he would have autonomy when it came to the management of the club and their activity in the transfer market.'

Also hear that the new owners are bringing some Kuwaiti players with them for trial at the City Ground. Probably too early to say but it sounds a little like they want their say in team/personnel matters.

That's not what we wanted to hear. If the new owners are going to interfere in things then they'll never get a quality manager. McCarthy has set the alarm bells ringing but it could have been him that was being unrealistic during their talks. Regarding the Kuwaiti players I think we'll have to wait and see how good they are. I would think that most people are expecting them to be rubbish but the opposite could be the truth. It's just been announced on Central News that Roy Keane has said he would be interested in the Forest job. Would he be the right man though?

McCarthy is no loss but I agree the alarm bells are ringing a little.

I hear that one of the people buying the club has managerial experience in Kuwait? The players may or may not be decent but I'd be a bit concerned about the principle of them wanting to get involved in the playing side - even in that way. There's something a bit uncomfortable about that and i don't think many top level managers would work in such a situation - at least for any length of time.

Different days but can you imagine what Cloughie would have told them to do with their players from Kuwait!

Only in your mind, Gibbo 04. There's a lot of re-organisation to do at Forest but once sorted the future looks good. Stu, I see where you're coming from regarding Brian Clough but Forest need players and it remains to be seen how good these Kuwaiti players are. A few sesssions at the training ground will reveal all.

The Clough ref was just.a bit of fun, Michael. On a serious note I don't think many managers of any reputation will accept board members getting involved in team matters.

We will see.

I think Mick McCarthy would have done a good job Michael. I saw on East Midlands Today that Roy Keane may be interested, what do you think to him I don't think much about Hoddle or Ferguson to be honest, but hey, you never know.

Darren Ferguson is officially not interested.

"It's not for me and that's it," he said. "I don't think anyone needs to know any more. That puts closure on it."

Glenn Hoddle remains 'in talks', with Gordon Strachan and Billy Davies appearing in the frame.

Gibbo 04, some people would like to see Roy Keane back at the City Ground but I think a lot of it is based on sentiment. How long before he walks out in a huff?. Stu states that Darren Ferguson is not interested. I don't know how he would do at Forest but his Dad would always be there to loan him a few players, as he has done in the past. I've never liked Gordon Strachen much and think he'd be a big mistake. Glenn Hoddle wouldn't be my choice either but he's a big name who would attract a better quality player to the Club. Then there's Billy Davies. I think he's the supporters favourite but, as I've stated before, I doubt very much if he would be asked to return. Because of the libel laws I cannot say why. With the extra financial backing he'd get you just know he'd be the man to take Forest back up into the Premiership.

Anything to do with a certain politician named Tommy Sheridan? Widely reported in the Scottish press.
