Whilst agreeing with the fact that he should have been banned for cheating (Along with most of them these days) I think their are double standards .

Whats her face Agyapong was rushed back into the British squad after her ban for drugs taking, just so we had a chance of a medal. Zola Budd (Nothing to do with drugs I know) was ushered in the back door to give a chance of a medal .and fell flat on her ar5e (well Mary Decker did any way) But because Dwain Chambers does not have a realistic chance of an individual medal he won't be allowed in the squad!!

There are many other instances of people coming through the back door because they have no chance in their own country (South Africa in particular) Greg Rusedski couldn't get sponsorship in Canada , Lennox Lewis, Graham Hick to name but three.

It is also a slap in the face for him after he has trained on his own ,with no coach, to get to the standard required only to get knocked back because we have other no hopers waiting in the wings.

And if you don't have goals to achieve ,or rather are not allowed to reach your goals what is the point of 'sport'??

Certainly so...England/Britain - whatever - remain the biggest recruiting cheats in international sport.

Budd, Rusedski and Lewis being good examples. But it is in cricket where they really excel, with often four or five mercanaries/imports in most Test XI's: whereas their Test opponents always select bona fide natives!

Incredulous that the ICC permit them to get away with it, year in year out...

Cheers
