Rampton Hospital in the early 70's

Hi.

I am hoping for information from anyone who had ties to Rampton Hospital from 1972 thru 1975.

I was sent to Rampton at the age of 18, for committing arson, and was released in 75.

The level of brutality and Sexual and physical abuse i and other patients suffered was shocking. The nightmares have stayed with me all through my life. I still experience flashbacks some 36 years later.

About two years ago i wanted to know why this had happened to me and decided that i should to do something about it. I contacted the Retford Police and stated my case. The officer wanted time to research my allegations and then would get back to me. Anyway, some 4 weeks later i received a telephone call from the police stating that the information i had given was ringing true but there was nothing that could be done on account that the persons (staff members) who abused me were to poorly to be interviewed or prosecuted and that an investigation would NOT be in the public interest.

I spend three years being sexually and physical abused, The horors will stay with me until i die but feel i cannot accept that people who systematic abused should get away with their crimes.

Any advice on Rampton Hospital in the 70's would be very much appreciated.
