    Previously mentioned Dennis Rogers was a member of The Clifton and District mcc which met at The Railway Club on Wilford Road on Tuesdays. Two of us to go to The Elephant Rally in 1970 bought from him a Panther 120 complete with D/A sidecar for £25 which needed extensive repair. We set off with hope, and she never missed a beat the whole 900 miles return journey. Afterwards a guy cam up on the train from Southampton and set off for home. I never knew if he made it.
