Was a favourite for the job when Fullarton was appointed a couple of months ago. Took Swindon to a play-off final last year.
I think Pep Guardiola is busy at the moment.

It sounded like a hideous situation at Meadow Lane with groups of protesters stationed directly behind the Notts dug out amongst other places.
Match days at Meadow Lane have sounded pretty toxic affairs according to recent reports. I can see how it couldn't be allowed to go on.
As others have said, an abjectly poor choice in the first place.

Twelve games and seventy days!
I felt he was a completely inappropriate appointment in the first place but outgoing Chairman, Trew really has to take a look at himself for allowing this state of affairs to happen.

Two others that come to mind are Jim Iley and Calvin Palmer .
Being a bit of a midfield schoolboy player used to pretend I was Jim Iley . Always thought he was a classy player .
Wrote a few words about Jim Iley and his views on the modern game, a while back.

There's a lot of speculation about who the next manager will be and it's vital that we get the right man. We have to get a manager who the players will respect and give everything for. It's rumoured that the new man wil be a former Kuwaiti national manager who is currently Head Coach at Kuwait SC. Just what we needed, I don't think.
That sounds like an absolute disaster in the making. I recall when the owner and his family first came in and took over Forest and they wanted to/ brought three Kuwaiti players over with them, ridiculous. I think the writing was on the wall from the beginning.
If they weren't rich nobody would entertain them as owners. They have nothing else to offer.

There was also a 'Back Street' - in Arnold. What has always been officially known as High Street in the town centre was usually called Back Street by the locals at one time - as distinct from the main shopping road, Front Street.

I think Forest are now becoming a little unmanageable. When you look at the two possibilities above in post #8 Nigel Clough and Pearson are both very capable managers in their own way but could you tip them (or anyone at the moment) to be a success at Forest?
I feel pretty certain that the owner gets involved in team matters, indirectly if not directly.Forest's problem isn't so much this or that manager but rather the ownership of the club.
There seems to be no operating cash. Forest have had as many appearance in the courts recently as home games. Facetious but you get the point.
Not a common opinion I've noted among Forest supporters but I've always believed Nigel would be a good 'fit' for Forest. He can work on a budget and has some solid virtues. I'm almost hoping he doesn't get the shout now though because he will be another one walking out of there in a few months with his reputation shattered.
Regards Dougie Freedman, I think he can count himself unfortunate and I have some sympathy for him. Forest's financial situation makes them uncompetitive at the top of the table. In some ways he has been the architect of his own downfall though with his over-reliance on stodgy, uninteresting defensive football - even now when Forest have been relatively safe in the table. I wouldn't pay good money to watch that and I note the crowds are down. Bottom line, it's the kind of football that will kill the game in the long run.

Another one that used to use Pancho's many years ago. Their kebabs were that good I'd sometimes walk home the four miles from town after a night out with mates just to drop in there for one!

That was a totally embarrassing result against a side who were down to ten men, away from home and who haven't won in five games.
The pointlessly negative tactics of this manager will not wash with the fans longer term. I'm not one for swapping managers every couple of weeks but this is not working and is not about to work.
Play some football, Forest, try going on the front foot and attacking teams - particularly at home. It's getting embarrassing.

I liked their early stuff, especially the Signing Off album and One in Ten in particular with their authentic reggae influences but they've not done much in a while...

I could see for miles today Stu because of the nice weather. Took my binoculars and was lucky enough to see a pair of buzzards making the most of the thermals over Woodborough.
It's great to see the buzzards. I've seen them from time to time around Woodborough, Lambley and Lowdham Grange. Another of my favourite views is from up at Ploughman Wood looking down over Woodborough and beyond. All nice, mate.
Where abouts is the new cafe? When I'm in Calvo I use Catherine's bakery, opposite the Gleaners.
It's at St Wilfred's Square. Den.

Nice view from up at Fox Wood, Gibbo. Do like a stroll around there occasionally.

This is true. Some talent is timeless and irreplaceable though.

Messrs Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. No one remotely close.

That looks fine provided they don't charge the same rip-off prices as I found in the Sir John Borlase Warren last year.
As it's a Castle Rock group pub I'd very much doubt that would be the case.

Steve ovett and Sebastian Coe?
Never a double act but great rivals!
Roger Bannister and Chris Brasher. THE sub 4 min mile.
For the great day you'd have to bring Chris Chataway into that and make it a trio.

Seem to remember there was a small printshop on Woolpack Lane. Might have disappeared in the 1970s.

One thing about this whole matter that appears to have emerged is that although Ray Trew claims it is personal abuse that has driven him out of Meadow Lane (and I have no truck with that) it appears emphasised that this kind of thing has become much more apparent since his appointment of Fullarton as Notts' Manager which is a deeply unpopular decision among the support. We see from reports though that Trew was in negotiation with the 'Danish billionaire' before Christmas. to take over the club.
Trew has done some good things for Notts County, especially initially when he basically rescued them from administration and possible oblivion and that should be recognised but his apparent arrogance and inadvisable decision making has since caused the club great harm. I do believe for example that a great number of the support have viewed the appointment of Fullarton as a 'two fingers' at them and this is one of the reasons for the ructions at Meadow Lane since.
What's more, I wouldn't particularly trust him as far as I could throw him the way he is conducting business to sell the Magpies. Only when he leaves can that club turn a corner and begin rebuilding this great damage.
What with the happenings on the black and white side of the local football community and Forest's apparent inability or refusal to pay bills on time and now the delayed payment of their staff due to a 'bank holiday in Kuwait' I have no confidence in the state of the way either of our clubs are being run. In Forest's case I think they are beginning to make a fine old club look a little disreputable and it's not good to see. Potential signings for the club too will make themselves aware of what is happening at the City Ground and be less likely to sign. I particularly felt for the rank and file staff at Forest - in ordinary jobs - waiting to be paid what they have earned.
Sad stuff. Let's hope both clubs can turn a corner at some point.
