Kingstons on Wilford St, and Gaggs on Alfreton Road (or Ilkeston Rd). Both still there in the early 70's when I was wrecking bikes as fast as I could mend them. I seem to recall the manager at Alfreton Road was Dillon Mansbridge. He talked me into being a model for mainly Wrangler Jeans (as they fitted me well naturally off the peg). I think I also wore Ben Sherman shirts, and another brand (Possibly Levi?) with rounded collars, paisley patterns, and striped patterns of the day. Must have been around 1969, 70,71 when I appeared in various shows in church halls and Scout Headquarters. Never did make enough to afford a denim jacket!
