I would think they will cut some of the routes through Beeston soon.

Benjamin, the old snooker club is now a small supermarket. A premier I think. So there is now 2 very close to each other. Years ago you had the beer off at the end of Cheltenham street and that was it.

If you do manage to type the full 40,000 lines, lets hope that nobody quotes it in a reply.

What about all the emissions coming from the fair lorries and generators, that seem to be in the square, more often every year.

I have scanned the map of the area, it is in 4 parts, so if any of the moderators can join it up feel free.

I remember Pete Blood, he used to drink in the Red Cow on Lenton lane, in the early 80s.
He had a bad accident whilst working as a tree surgeon and ended up paralysed, as far as i know he is still alive.

Look at the price of fags! They are £8 or £9 a packet now.
-
They have named some of the trams after Nottingham heroes, they have chosen to name one after Sat Bains, the Michelin starred chef.
He is actually from Derby.
Who would you name one after?
-
Big Trev would have been Trev Wood. I think he is stll doing a bit of dj ing in pubs.
-
I think the Rodgers that was on Lowater street was a different name, possibly Graham, he broke motorbikes for spares.
-
Yes, he was with the 47th scouts in Lenton in the 70s, he also worked at Highfields lido sometimes, so we never had to pay.
-
Parmitage, was your brother involved with the scouts in Lenton? Tony.

I also went to Padstow, I left in 1982, lived on Raymede drive at the time.
Jock Gallagher was the headmaster, he retired and was replaced by a bloke from down south, Mr Samuels, he lives at Kimberley and I bump into him a couple of times a year.

France and Italy are a lot bigger than Great Britain.
Would it not be better that the countries with the most space take the most people.

The church bell, or bells were given to a school in Wilford, St Patricks catholic school. I wonder if they still have it.
Looking at a photo of the school, there is a large bell on the wall outside the entrance I wonder if that is it.

My dad worked on the demolition of this church, it was probably 1978 /1979 as I was still at school, I remember that I went with him a couple of times.
I seem to remember that one of his workmates had a bad fall from height on that job, there was not much H&S then.

I have just looked at the planning application, 77 student apartments.

The building at the junction of Talbot street and Wollaton street is being demolished. It used to be a Chinese restaurant.

Wards will pay the money onto your debit card, they have an atm machine in their weighbridge, so you can withdraw the money straight away. It is just like being paid cash, but it is traceable.
-
The pub on Noel street is now called the frog and onion. There must be a reason but I have never heard why.
-
I heard about this earlier, I thought he was older than 88.

In the Mapperley park area, a lot of the streets have been tarmacked over, but they have left the 4 or 5 rows of cobbles next to the kerbs, still visible.

#30 The biggest employer is probably the NHS, a quick google put the staff at Nottingham university as over 9,000. and Trent university as about 3,500.
I wonder how many are employed in the various call centres.

It was on this morning, as I read it.
