hi btb11, I went to fairham school in 62-63-left in 64, i remember going on the bus to go swimming i went to victoria baths and also the baths in the meadows was it called portland baths? , i did not see any nude pictures, but when i left school i made up for it.

If you go to whitby go to the magpie chip chop and restaurant they right on the docks ,they make great chips and peas,as for the fish its brilliant the fish is at least 13 ins long.

love pancakes, i was doing some pancakes to-night, when i tossed the pancake the handle on the frying pan fell off, the pancake was up in the air the pan was on the gas cooker the handle in me hand, i fixed it, screw came off.

I always went down drury hill from work to broadmarsh bus station to catch my bus home.The narrow road and shops was great to go down. Does anyone remember the smell on drury hill, it was not a bad smell but what was it?

When we played marbles it was to get nearest to the hole without going down. Also played getting your marbles nearest to the wall wins, you could knock your mates marbles out off the way to do it, you would pick all the same colour marbles for yourself, and your mates would do the same.

Hi compo -miller bros, got my first video recorder from them, also other items. It was good shop ,it was built on the site of the former market garage then years later millers closed the shop. then went to netherfield retail park then that closed . was trade that bad?

woolworths was in hockley so was pools for tools, moon cafe[ great meals] gillotts,roses shoe shop ,george hotel .What was the name of the grocery shop that sold lose tea /rice from big bags in front of the counter ,plus all food, tins stuff. the chap always worn a white apron, the shop was on left side going down the hill after the traffic lights ,broad st/stoney st.[lights now gone] a great shop and great service he was always very smart.

I use to put a hurricane lamp next to my wheel at night ,then used a parking lamp, did not plug it in just wrapped round the battery terminal.

Ashley,the photos of low level station you put on look grim to look at. I worked in them buildings at the weekends ,in the 60s/70s handling sunday newspapers and it was grim then
