The window units dont have a valve for recharging & they dont tell you whats in as far as gas. But they are really inexpensive here , Nobody fixes anything anymore
There should be a 20deg f differential from what the air temp is to what comes out of the ac
My son is Hvac tech, Really slow right now as we only reached 80 today first time all year, its usually over 100 at this time

I do remember serving my apprenticeship not a Erricsons though, As a Dental Tech 5 years of peepoor wages but i did pass the City & Guilds with distinction & to show their appreciation of a job well done i was sacked as now i cost too much 7 pounds 2/6 per week !congrats! !inthebin! !tanning! !rotfl!
So here i am unemployed thinking what am i going to do so i started repairing cars made 20 pounds first day

Wow looking at those wages told me my job really sucked, A 5 year apprenteship & i was still on 7 pound 2/6 & that was with a City & Guilds pass with credit

I used to be into audio stuff but building & dynoing engines has put that on the back burner, To be honest i bought some things called TV ears a couple of weeks ago just so i can hear the tv & HiFi at a reasonable level without peeing of the rest of the family !rotfl!
It was the best & cheapest audio stuff i have ever bought & probably the most value i have got out of them, Like i dont have to read lips anymore .

Thank you for your kind comments, which I will print off to pass on to other members of the family. As with a lot of electrical equipment they seemed to make them better and built to last in those days.

A little more about Cranson he rode a Vincent motorcycle & wore a German uniform on stage ,Lived on Valley Rd , The singer was the hippy guy "Sutch" that used to hang about the market square & the Don Juan Cafe Song that i remember was Gloria, I think Sutch's girlfriend was also named Gloria.

I knew Pete as well as his brother Cranson he played in the group Mothers Worry or something like that i think his real first name was Mick
I did buy my B&O audio system & B&O tv from Pete
I still have a few valve amps but for my guitars you can still get all the valves no problem

I seem to remember getting a pair of winklepickers at a shoe shop near hartley rd, i made a mistake & wore them in the rain the soles were made of pressed paper, Just fell apart 30 bob down the drain
I do remember the Brown Cord Levi jacket / Coat. My mate Dave had just got one & i was giving him a ride on the back of my bike going to see the movie The Battle of britain,Being that it was the premiere we had to get dressed up , At Trent bridge i lost it on some oil in a very controlled sliding crash that took the skin off our butts which we didnt really notice until we tried to get up after the movie, We were both stuck to the seat,I remember both looking at each other & bursting out laughing
When we got into the light Daves coat had a big rip in the back & my ass was hanging out of my suit pants

There are no dead planes at Travis if you are getting deployed or need supplies it goes from there
I have been working pretty hard just lately
I did get a new camera so i dont have to lug around my big monster , A Panasonic Lumix i like it.
Also a new Guitar & another one the wife dosnt know about , They all look the same lol

When I do get over there to do my Route 66 and all that , and after I've done The Ozarks, Detroit Michigan and Flagstaff Arizona , I suppose I could always mosey on over to Travis for some REAL photos !!

The racetrack i go to is right under landing aproach for Travis AFB ,But we also used to race at Willow springs & would drive past Edwards AFB in the high desert Chuck Yeager stuff
Actually he lives in Auburn Ca about a hour away ,I almost bought his motorhome but it didnt have a popout.

Beefsteak just to let you know i live really close to Travis airforce base so get lots of big stuff flying around + the occasional fighters, Bombers etc
