I'm a reunited adopted person, and I lived for a month or so at The Hollies, 8 Mapperly Road, in Nottingham. It was a "mother & baby home" though I was there alone. Later collected by my adoptive parents. I recently visited. Rather run down, subdivided into apartments. It used to be run by the town authority as a way-station for abandoned babies, I understand.
Is anyone familiar with The Hollies, or lived or worked there? The neighbors were unfamiliar with its former life.
