  1. "here is not the place to ask".....? Seemed pretty clear to me Mick. I fully understand that medical advice is the way forward, but there are variations of medical opinions and this is what I'm trying to find out. There may have been others who may have down a different avenue (which may have been suggested by another healthcare proffessional).
  2. letsavago, there are people talking about double glazing on this website! I sympahise with your 'poor health', but please keep your unconstructive comments to yourself. I have not broken any forum regulations and the administrator has even joined in on this thread. I am merely trying to broaden my chances by asking for other peoples advice who have had a similar experience...not hurting anyone. Apologies if this has caused you offense, in which case, I suggest you do not follow.
  3. The point I'm making is that I've already had 2 operations, which hasn't worked and now they want to do another one, which is going to cause more trauma, in a part of my body that is fine and there is no guarantee that it will work. I've done a bit of google research and have come across some bone stimulators, which do not require another op. Does anyone know anything about these or have had experience?
  4. I broke my leg some time ago playing football and have had 2 operations on it. It still isn't healing and my doc wants to operate again, which sounds painful as he plans on taking bone from my hip . I'm desperate to get back to running and playing football again, but I really don't want to undergo another operation. Has anyone else had the same issue and is there anything that can help? (other than drinking pints of milk every day!). Thanks for your help!
