That happened just after we arrived in UK last year Anne. We are up to Sunitta having her babies,won't tell you anymore so as not to spoil the surprise....!!

Citronella oil you can get from hardware outlets Den,even the candles work,. We grow Citronella plants here too,they are great,just break off a few leaves ,rub it on yourself & hey presto the little buggers leave you alone. No Vicks doesn't sting but smells like hell!!!

Oh Den what can I say im shedding tears for you as i write this,how truly truly sad for you. I know we all on Notts offer you & your family our deepest condolences.
What a blessing you went to vist your dear old mum as usual,can you imagine how you would have felt if you had changed your routine? She was a lucky lady to have you as a caring son & fortunate to die in the arms with the love & security that you provided around her. This won't ease the pain but just to let you know when all is said & done & I know we sometimes tease you, we love & care for you & yours. Your mum didn't leave you Den ,shes there with you all the time if you want her to be.

As soon as the little sods start biting off we are inside to keep cool in the air conditioning as Limey said. Sometimes it can't be avoided though,& a remedy we use here is Vicks chest rub smeared on the affected part takes the itch away,it works try it B) to be honest unless we get a stray one I can't remember the last time I got bitten,mind you flyscreens on all the windows & doors helps,if theres a crack screen it!!

Lighthouse family are now disbanded Anne, my son who is a musician, is now in a band called The Orangelights & one of the founder members of Lighthouse family is now also in this band along with several other musicians and of course their great.............................. !clapping!

I like Oasis,Crowded House,Lighthouse family,& of course The Orangelights!!
I also like a lot of the old 60's stuff but only when i'm in the mood. Most of the time I listen to a mix of Indian music & dance music

OK..what I was going to ask is, I have noticed in some of your postings relating to food in particular,that you appear to have a problem sourcing what we call Pommy foods. Is that just in your area or is it Canada generally? I always assumed there were a lot of Poms/Scots/Irish folk living there etc, so there would be a call for all that homeland nostalgic type of grub?
Another question I wanted to ask is does Canada as a whole have areas where migrants have settled in large numbers or are you spread out all over the place?The reason I ask is , not so much here in Victoria but cetainly in Western Australia some parts are known as little England, & thats just as an example.
