We have no real understanding of how I data gets spread around.
Within 10 minutes of my first sign-up with Paypal, I had emails asking me to log-on to the provided link and confirm my details, which I did ( This was 10 years ago, before I knew better).. anyway I sort of clicked and realised that it might be a fake link. It was and I had to cancel all my card details and the Paypal account.
Whenever I sign up to ANY site, there is ALWAYS a fake email, within minutes, asking me to click on link and re-enter my details.
The most recent was just a week ago. I had a fake e-mail from EDF, with a genuine offer, but linked to a fake site. It was very convincing, but I contacted EDF in France and they confirmed it was a phishing email and a fake site, trying to get personal data.
Don't click on Links. Type in the correct url, yourself. Don't enter sensitive details unless the URL start swith "HTTPS"
In the meantime it remains a mystery as to how these crooks can know that we have joined a site, or made a purchase within minutes of us doing so.

When I first went with master for a new suit "BURTONS" bottom Hockley he had a three piece, you could choose a patten from books, have it made as you wanted, back vent, two flaps, side pockets slanted or not, collar wide or small I could go on all this for £3 00 .
Then the Beatles style came in! can you remember no collar.
£3.00 Mary ? When was this, 1932? My two Burton suits off the rack in 1966 was £15

Spot on Catfan they are only temps in those countries as they head in our direction where they will settle.
Cannot be so Catfan and NBL. The figures would have to be higher. Mathematically 'impossible' to be as you suggest.
We are talking 'assylum' seeking here, not entering illegally or coming in legally from other european countries.

I remember calling in a chip shop on Berridge Road, Forest Fields, with only a penny.
The man said he should not do it, but gave me a portion. It was about 1954-5. Great days.

My Ex used to work at the INTERCON, under the Vic Centre. 1972? The entrance, with steps leading down, was roughly where Vision Express used to be. Opposite Shakespeare Street. (It was called something else to start with, which escapes me for the moment)

I read in the paper today, that we are 'eighth' in the list of countries swamped by assylum seekers, with 31200 in the last year (up 32% on previous year).
Germany was top with 175,000 and Italy, Spain and even Turkey ALL had more than twice as many as UK.
So maybe we are not so much a laughing stock as we think?

'Does anyone know why the bridge for the new stretch of tramline that went over the road next to Midland Station towards the Meadows has been removed?
I took pictures of this as it was being built thinking the area would never look the same again....and now its gone!

Bob a Job week ! However, I do recall being taken advantage of.
A lady in a huge house, near where I now live, had me weeding her pathways nearly all day.. and I was a grafter. She still only paid me a shilling.
On the other hand, I was known to don my cubs outfit and go Bob-a-Jobbing for my own profit. Well.. what's wrong with a bit of good old initiative?

There is absolutely NOTHING more natural than breast feeding. We lived for thousands of years before anything else, unnatural, was thought of.
I recall it being a very normal sight when I was a kid. As for too much flesh showing: I have never seen a woman making a fleshy show, They are always discreet. It can be very distressing for a woman who wants to breastfeed, but cannot.
What kind of numpty objects to a baby being fed the way nature intended?
