I lived at Garrett Grove in Clifton in the 1980's.

This is true MapperleyMan. It's all Haribo these days. I used to love going to my local shop and using the little white paper bags to put cola bottles, flying saucers, Penny chews and many more. It was the novelty of it.

Gerry Rafferty did some wonderful songs.

It looks just an eye sore now! Graffiti there. Bet it's rats ahoy inside!

Anyone know much historic information on Woolpack Lane in Nottingham? My grandma's mother lived there.

Recognise anyone? My grandad Harry Ball is smiling at the back

The person owned the narrowboat at the time. We did the Ashby canal as well for 2 weeks.

I remember being on a narrowboat and loving it a few years ago.

Just wondered if anyone knows of any developments on this subject. Last time I checked it was still the same.

It was like a wine cellar!

Yes the basement was deep. It was below the reception area. There was a lift in the building also. I remember the paper shredding machine being there and a load of wine stored there!

I used to live in Clifton ☺

Interesting. Thanks Shirley.

Yes I noticed a design company has accepted the offer when walking past. Thanks Bubblewrap. Good photo.

Express buildings, Nottingham. Any info past and present welcome as I used to work in these premises in the late 90s. Freeth Cartwright Hunt Dickens Solicitors did occupy these premises for a time and when I worked there. Just wondered the history of the building. I went past last night, whilst out in Nottingham last night with a friend.

What a nice place to live Annie. I've had lots of great times there. I've been on a narrowboat through the lock. Lovely place.
Many residents still leave fresh veg outside their doorsteps for people to take!

Hi Richard, welcome. I joined here on Sunday. Have fun.

I bet everyone wanted him to represent them!

I went to Isis numerous times in the late 90's/early 2000's. There was a bar near it, it's now a car manufacturer sales centre. I remember Sophie Ellis Baxter did a public appearance at Isis. Not the classiest of nightclubs looking back..

Yes I know he did a lot for others. Nice to hear the nice stories about him.
His sons are Michael and Tony.
